Gideon Kakepetum - NAN Community Legal Aid Worker
NAN Legal aid services designates a representative to each First Nations Council. KO's Legal aid representative is based out of Sioux lookout NAN office. The Legal Aid Worker provides advice and assistance to members of the First Nation in conflict with the Law.
This includes:
- attending court sessions to advise and support clients,
- providing community workshops,
- working with the court staff, lawyers, police, chief and council to ensure the client is protected.
