   OUR MISSION
To promote community wellness and awareness by improving child nutrition in the Sioux Lookout District First Nations Communities.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
  1. Improve awareness of the benefits of nutrition at local and regional level.
  2. Provide a First Nation Representation to Canadian Living Foundation Board of Directors.
  3. Provide support and resources to help initiate and maintain community nutrition programs for children.
  4. Act as an advocate on behalf of communities programs for local and regional businesses support.
  5. Provide information and support to help First Nation communities run successful nutrition programs.
    
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
This Advisory Committee was created to help heighten awareness of a breakfast program that is being provide by the Canadian Living Foundation at a local level. The purpose of this committee is to provide updated information in reference to the type of nutrition programs that the First Nation Communities in the north would like to develop. The committee has a good understanding to the unique situation, and problems that inherent to the people of the north. Board members consist of people of the Sioux Lookout District. A membership list of individuals that are on the committee is provided with the communities that they look after. Feel free to contact any member of the committee to request more information. ANAC is in partnership with the Canadian Living Foundation to assist people to better understand the services that is provided by Canadian Living Foundation.
